Benzoic acid is also known as benzoic acid. It was used in medicine, food, chemistry and so many industries widely, it used to process into medicine, plastic plasticizer etc. Cause of benzoic acid with low cost, its down- stream product sodium benzoate is still the first choice of corrosion remover. Such as used as mildew preventive in mosquito-repellent incense, Chinese herbal syrup, as corrosion inhibitor in motor vehicle antifreeze fluid, as catalyzer in printing and dying industry etc. Toluene liquid phase air oxidation method is mainly industrial production technology of benzoic. Regarded Cobalt salt and manganese salt as catalyzer in this technology, and acetic acid as solvent, it has many advantages that mature technology, warm reaction condition, less industrial residual and so on, it is main benzoic acid production solution at the present. The color of wastewater produced by toluene liquid phase air oxidation technology is yellowish transparent liquid, the main components are benzoic acid and acetic acid, PH value 1.8-2.1, Chemical oxygen demand (CODcr) is about above 20000mg/L.

In the wastewater, Benzoic acid content: 0.314mol/L, acetic acid content: 0.25mol/L, PH: 2.03, CODcr: 23270mg/L.
We took a step by step extraction to recycle benzoic acid and acetic acid, after three-stage counter-current extraction, benzoic recovery rate is 99% and above, two-stage counter-current extraction recycle acetic acid, and its recovery rate is about 95%.

Centrifugal Extractor Working Pinciple:
1.Mixing and mass transfer process:
Light and heavy liquor enter in the annulus mixed zone proportionally and from two different feed pipe orifice respectively, which formed by bowl and shell, with the help of bowl’s rotation, the two phases through turbine disc and impeller mixing and dispersing quickly, after mass transfer completely, to finish mass transfer process.
 
2.Two phases separation process
With the eddy-current disc help, mixture enter in bowl, at the compartment formed by board, the mixture is quickly synchronized with the bowl, under the action of centrifugal force, the larger density liquor moving away from the bowl center to the wall gradually in the upward flow; and the small density liquor doing the opposite, after clarification, two liquids enter into collection chamber with their own weir plate respectively, and drawn out by tigella, to finish the separation process.
