Project Overview

Because the chemical properties of nickel and cobalt are very similar, they are often symbiotic and associated in ore deposits, so nickel is often found in various cobalt-containing waste slag,such as nickel smelting converter slag, copper smelting cobalt-containing converter slag, nickel refining cobalt-containing slag, etc. Cobalt and nickel are also contained in various special alloy materials, battery materials, and catalysts. Therefore, in the recovery of cobalt, the separation of nickel and cobalt is necessary.

The separation of nickel and cobalt mainly includes chemical precipitation and solvent extraction. Solvent extraction technology has become the main method for nickel and cobalt separation due to its advantages of high selectivity, high direct yield, simple process, continuous operation and easy automation.

The leaching solution processed by a metal material company in Anhui mainly contains cobalt, in addition to impurities such as nickel, iron, copper, manganese, and cadmium.

Process introduction & running tracking
