
The treatment of 7% acrylic acid wastewater during acrolein production has always been a pain point in the industry. In a practical application at a chemical plant, for wastewater with an acrylic acid content of 6.5% and a temperature of 70℃, a three-stage cross-flow extraction process was used to achieve an astonishing acrylic acid extraction rate of over 98%. The specific process flow is as follows: First, the acrylic acid-containing wastewater and extractant are fed into a CWL-M centrifugal extractor in a specific ratio. After 2-3 stages of extraction, the acrylic acid in the wastewater is effectively removed. Subsequently, the loaded organic phase enters the stripping stage, where it undergoes 2-3 stages of stripping and alkali washing with liquid alkali, achieving the recycling of the extractant and the centralized recovery of acrylic acid.
This innovative solution not only completely solves the problem of acrylic acid wastewater treatment, but also transforms "waste" into high-value resources, creating significant economic benefits for chemical companies.
