At present, the industry generally adopts the iron replacement process to treat the leaching solution of copper smelting ash. Although this method is simple to operate, it has obvious defects: the output sponge copper has high impurity content, which makes subsequent disposal and reprocessing difficult; the introduction of iron requires additional iron removal treatment of the solution, which easily produces colloidal iron that affects filtration; more seriously, it may produce highly toxic AsH3 gas, threatening production safety. Centrifugal Extraction Process

Zhengzhou Tiei Extraction launched the CWL-M new centrifugal extractor developed independently to achieve the recovery of valuable metals. This process achieves efficient recovery of copper elements through a multi-stage countercurrent extraction-washing-strip extraction process.

1.High-efficiency extraction system: Using Lix984/sulfonated kerosene mixed system as the extractant, 1-4 levels of countercurrent extraction are achieved through the centrifugal extractor, the copper extraction rate is as high as more than 98%, and other metal elements are effectively separated at the same time.
2.Washing process: Using tap water as a detergent, 1-4 levels of countercurrent washing are completed in the CWL-M centrifugal extractor to ensure the purity of the organic phase and provide guarantees for subsequent processes.
3.Stripping process: Using dilute sulfuric acid as a stripping agent, 1-4 levels of countercurrent stripping are performed through the CWL-M centrifugal extractor, and finally a copper-rich solution with a concentration of 45-55g/L is obtained, which can be directly used for electrolytic copper production.

After stripping, 48g/L of copper-rich solution was obtained, and high-quality cathode copper was obtained by electrolysis, creating significant economic benefits. Another company treated a high-concentration leachate containing 12.76g/L copper.
