Typical Application Cases
Case 1: Development of a High-Purity Cobalt Extraction Process
A new energy materials company utilized the CWX-2J mixer settlers unit to develop a cobalt–nickel separation process. Through 15 days of systematic experimentation, the optimal pH control range (4.2–4.8) was determined and the extractant formulation was optimized (22% P507 concentration). Based on these results, the industrial production line was commissioned successfully on the first start-up, achieving a cobalt purity of 99.95%.
Case 2: Pilot-Scale Treatment of Complex Copper-Bearing Solutions
A mining operation employed the CWX-9J mixer settlers unit for a 2,000-hour continuous pilot test to treat a complex solution containing 1.8 g/L copper and 12 g/L iron. The copper extraction rate was stably maintained above 98.2%, while iron co-extraction was controlled within 1.5%. The pilot results provided a reliable design basis for a hydrometallurgical copper project with a capacity of tens of thousands of tonnes.
